Meet Dr. Carlos Pacas
"Hello, I'm Dr. Carlos Pacas. I graduated from UT Health Science Center at Houston Dental Branch back in May of 2005. Besides my D.D.S. I have a B.A. and M.S. in Biology from UC Berkeley and UTSA respectively. I decided to become a Dentist back in 1997 ,while getting my Master's Degree, because I got inspired by my dentist who treated my root canal and made my crown. Watching him work and how he explained the procedure roused my interest in learning more about dentistry. After graduating from UTSA, I worked as a dental assistant for 2 years, to see how I would like the field of dentistry.
After this time, I decided to apply and got accepted to UTDB at Houston.
I enjoy working with children and the elderly. They are special patients who need the most dental care and usually have dental phobia, which a caring attitude can alleviate, in order to do their treatment.
I'm married and have no children. I like to read about science, politics, religion, fiction and finances. I enjoy listening to Classic Rock Music from the 60's and 70's. I like collecting museum quality replicas of Prehistoric animals and build dioramas recreating past ecosystems. I also like to build World War 2 airplanes and build dioramas recreating air battles.
Becoming a dentist was a dream come true."
